Great ceviche! Incredibly fresh. Friendly owners & service. Not sure if the hours listed on Yelp are correct though-- so call before you go. They were just about to close for the evening when we arrived.

Great food ! Try the ceviche st and the tiradito, both well prepared and presented. They ate also specialist in octopus. People is friendly and the place is nice... Location is a little hidden, not the best location but food is worth to try

Hidden gem!! Chef Sergio and his wife and owner Melina Riglos prepare the most amazing traditional Peruvian dishes, with expert culinary flair. Highly recommended... Absolutely delicious!

This is a small family-style Peruvian restaurant located in Hallandale. The food is terrific and the service is very attentive (maybe bordering on a bit overzealous). The meal starts with roasted corn (I guess every Peruvian restaurant got on the bandwagon with this item because everywhere I go they serve this). Then my friend and I ordered the causa with shrimp (so good!) followed by Lomo Saltado with beef and Pescado a lo macho. Both were tasty meals & we ate it all. The one negative is that the parking lot is small but there is an overflow parking lot across the street.

Great food, fresh and impeccable presentation of dishes. This place is a real gem in Hallandale beach. I'm pretty sure the chef of this restaurant cooks with love. Love is felt in every bite. Desserts are from another dimension. The ceviche is the best I've eaten in my life. Excellent and original taste of Chupe de Camarones...is a real comfort food. The cheese cake with Ají Amarillo is U N F O R G E T T A B L E, and Nocturno cake was Amazing!!! I'm sure I'm going back to try the whole menu.

Great food, beautiful plate design, good flavor. We had the octopus appetizer that the waitress recommended. Good flavors and colors. My only drawback on the meal ...but I wish the appetizer had more octopus for the 17$ price tag. The ceviche st ceviche was great, nice touch with the seaweed. The entree was a good size paella with truffle oil ( probably the best paella I have had) . We had the sour cocktail it was great!! Very pretty and probably one of the best cocktail drinks I have ever had. The chef came out and provided us with helpful suggestions. He was very nice and informative. You can tell he used love to make the food. 75$ 1 entree, 2 appetizer, 2 drinks, 1 dessert. The presentation was excellent! I just wish there was more food for the price tag.

Great take on traditional Peruvian food. The Pollo Saltado was one of the best we have ever had! The huancaina fettuccine with lomo was also amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant over many in the area - nothing compares.

In my opinion, Peruvian food has the best cuisine in South America. With that in mind, I am always trying to find good Peruvian food in the US. This place met my expectations! I

If you have never been to this place,I highly recommend it. I have been to Ceviche Street twice already, the first time because of a Groupon, and the second time because I wanted family and friends to check it out. The customer service is excellent and the food is amazing. Everything is always really fresh, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. The only thing that I wish is for them to have Causa and Ceviche as a main course, and not only for appetizers. In addition, maybe a fee more dishes to choose from for the main course. The location is hidden, which is shame because is really hard to spot them.

Great food, especially the arroz con mariscos, as well as a killer Pisco sour. Only complaint was the portions could be a bit larger. The owners are dedicated to excellent service and it shows. We recommend without any qualms.

I came here on a date with my boyfriend and it was absolutely unforgettable. Him and I are both seafood fanatics, so we are quite the picky couple when it comes to quality and freshness. Well, with that being said, the food was spectacular! We ordered the "Ceviche Street", the Peruvian octopus and the raw tuna on arugula. We shared these plates and we both were so pleased. The service was A+ as well! The restaurant is clean, quiet and classy, yet casual enough for a simple outfit. Highly recommend it!

Their business hours are listed everywhere as noon-10PM close, however, my bf and I just drove from far away to try this supposedly "great" place and they're closed BEFORE 9PM. NOT COOL. I do not appreciate wasting my time, disappointed to say the least.

Wishing for 1/2 stars here....this place is solid. The food was good, the service was great, the inside of the restaurant was surprisingly nice and romantic. I came here on a groupon deal and I have to say driving to it made me a bit nervous....it's not in a great part of town at all. It's next to the train tracks amongst run down warehouses. You park around the back, keep in mind there's probably around 7 spots not sure where you could park if thats full. We were expecting a hole in the wall type of restaurant from what the outside looked like but once we opened the door we were shocked to see how nice it was inside! They truly went through alot of trouble to really make you feel like you were somewhere else (you almost forgot how nervous the area made you feel until the sound of the train passing brought you back to reality lol). Our favorite dish of the night was probably the octopus in anticucho sauce...out of this world the attention to the harmony of flavors in the dish and the hot and sweet sauces given were perfection. The only negative was the price for the amount of food we got, it was a small portion! That was actually a trending issue I had with this place, for the location and the amount of food you got they're overpriced! We also got the special which was a whole fried fish. This came with white rice and fried capers!!! You read that right "fried capers" never had them until then now I can't stop thinking about them! That was actually my favorite component of that dish, the fried fish was good but it could have been better. For drinks we had a pisco sour (which kinda tasted like a margarita) and my bf had a crystal (he was a bit disappointed they didn't have cusqueña). Overall a good experience. Just not sure if I would go back...it's not in the greatest of areas and even though the food was good it was overpriced.

I highly recommend everyone to come and visit this place. Its food and service are simply phenomenal. I love Peruvian cuisine and my taste in that aspect is very refined, but this exquisite place really fulfilled my expectations. By far, the best service and tasting experience in months. two thumbs up!

  • David W.

Wow. First time here - and the food & service were outstanding. We had a group of 9 and everyone enjoyed appetizers, entrees and the unique desserts. Waitress/hostess did an awesome job explaining the menu and the Peruvian food. Whole snapper, ceviche, octopus and beef were all excellent. Interesting location be the tracks on Dixie (a little scary LOL). The space is simple but well done. The chef stopped by all the tables making us feel even more welcome. Highly recommend!

The best Peruvian in Miami without a doubt. A professionally trained chef using very fresh high grade seafood yields simply delicious results. I'm picky and I'm giving 5 stars, that's should tell u something. Do NOT miss his spectacular homemade desserts like Pisco Lime Cake!!

One of the best inexpensive but very high quality authentic Peruvian food restaurants. This is why I keep coming back here. Sergio is the BEST! If you have not been here and if you love ceviche you should be on your way now

Visiting the area and went here based on reviews. Food was delicious. The chef is an artist both in presentation and flavors. The house merlot wine was delicious as well. Highly recommend anything here, but especially the tuna salad appetizer with wasabi cream, arugula and passion fruit sauce. It was perfect! The mahi mahi entree with sherry sauce reduction was also to die for. The waiter recommended the Peruvian icecream dessert and the unique flavor topped off an exquisite meal. Two appetizers, the tuna, mahi mahi and dessert plus wine for under $80.00. Hands down best restaurant in the area. Compliments to the chef. He deserves high praise.

We spent a week in Hollywood, FL, had been eating out all week and this is the best place we had dinner. I had Pargo Entero, the whole fried red snapper, the best fried fish I have ever eaten. We had arroz con Mariscos, tuna fortuna and Pulpo Antichuchero, all very good and prepared perfectly. Desserts are to die for too!

I came here with my girlfriend for lunch and had a few things in the menu. Everything was perfect except we didn't care for the paella it was bit plain. But what appreciated and love about them is that they where kind enough not to charge me for it even thought I didn't ask.. The waiter was very attentive and sweet. And over alll the food was great! Thnk u

Just had the most wonderful experience there. Malena recommended great dishes and was extremely great! The house specialty is octopus. I have eaten octopus many times, and there are just few places I recommend. Ceviche street make the list with flying colors. Save some room for the desert! We had the mondatito. You must eat it!!!!!! The ice cream is made from this fruit imported from Peru. The taste is so unique and rich! I am definitely going back! Can't wait to try different food on the menu!!

  • Candice S.

I'm giving this place a five star review based solely on the food and its presentation. Were this a restaurant at a trendier or more central location, there would be people waiting in line to eat here. But that's also part of the charm. You can eat a fresh, exquisite and sophisticated meal prepared personally by the chef/owner. That is golden. Usually I'd want to keep a place like this to myself, but in this case, it would be a great disservice to all of us not to spread the word. Tremendously underrated- Ceviche Street is quite possibly the best and most authentic Peruvian restaurant in South Florida.

Went here with a big party on a friday night and it was pretty empty. (Got a coupon thru restaurant.com ) Thought the place would be a dump since it's located in the middle of nowhere but it was a big surprise... The place is nicely decorated and intimate. The plating portion is not made for sharing but food is above average. I ordered my favorite fish ceviche (spicy), it now lists as one of my top 5 for ceviche. We came back a few more times after this night and will recommend (hopefully it doesnt close).

This place can be easily missed. It's located not too far off of hallandale Beach Blvd. For restaurant with a decent setting, the food here is actually not bad at all. Their ceviche is really tasty and fresh. I came here with two of my friends, and we ordered a total of 4 items. I have to say that their tuna Fortuna was out of this world. Its a special seared fresh tuna with a homemade Peruvian sauce with greens in the middle. You have to try it. Another item that was very special made by the chef was the pasta with octopus, I believe it was off the menu. The RoSoto was pretty heavy and we had it at the very end so we kind of got too defeated to fully enjoy and savor the taste. What we didn't get to try was their interesting selection of desserts. The wife of the chef was very informative, explaining each desserts and what contains inside of it. We had a pleasant service, everything was very well done. The only downside I think is there location. Is situated right next to the train tracks across from a little ghetto neighborhood. But this restaurant is definitely a hidden gem. Must try for you ceviche lovers out there.

This is a place I would definitely go to again. Came in on a Wednesday night and was immediately greeted and sat. It's a small dining room and feels very cozy. I had the Ceviche Street ceviche which has octopus, calamari, shrimp, fish, and mussels. It was one of the best ceviche's I've had and the heat/spice was perfectly tailored to my requested level. I also had the seafood risotto and while good, the sauce kind of overwhelmed the taste of most of the seafood. A bit disappointing, but overall still good. If I could, I'd give this place another 1/2 star.

  • N. H.

Tasty, solid food with attentive service. The location isn't in a pedestrian area, but the inside is nice, clean, & cute decor. Try the ceviche street and the octupus appetizer. Marisco chufa was yummy. Chocolate cake was delicious.

  • M. T.

Liked the logo and decor. However, they don't take phone orders for pick up, when restaurant is "too busy." Was promised that "once [there] my order would take 5 minutes," but ended up having to wait 10--a little water or anything while waiting longer than promised would have been nice. The fish ceviche was somewhat bland. The lady in registry could be a little friendlier. Probably not going back.

  • Liz Z.

This restaurant deserves every single star - everything was beautifully prepared, tasted excellent, a really generous portion of seafood for the price in the ceviche. Everything in the restaurant was clean and well decrated. It really is a hidden gem in an otherwise pretty dead area. The service was wonderful - the server was very nice and made really great recommendations for our first Peruvian dining experience. Like I said, everything tasted amazing. For four, we got two Ceviche Streets, a Tuna Fortuna, a risotto, a Peruvian style paella, and the Mango Mousse and Aji Cheesecake for dessert. It was a good amount of food and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. We loved it and definitely plan to come back next time we're in Miami!

During my recent visit to Miami, I was treated to many different restaurants, specially Peruvian food. Out of that list this place comes last. Deadlast, and I had great expectations about it. We were with a large High School group from Lima, Peru. Nobody I ask enjoyed the food. To start the service was very poor, for a tiny restaurant that had only four tables, one being us, a large one with about 25 people. But we were a table that wasn't ordering all the time, we were happy to meet after so many years, our orders consisted of drinks and some side dishes to share. To start the wife's owner took our extremely simple drink order, 5 Pisco Sours and one Maracuya Sour, she wrote it down, and somewhere between our table and the bar it got mixed with all Pisco Sours. They took about 20 minutes to deliver the drinks and the ices were still hard, as done in extreme rush. She will just not come to the table at all and ignore our presence, paying attention to the other 3 table with 5 customers ?!? The ceviche lacked salt, one of the basic 5 ingredients of that dish. The next thing I tried was a lomo saltado with risotto, one of the worst risottos I have ever had. The sauce in the lomo saltado was not dominant and lack texture. The third dish I tried was Pescado a lo Macho. The fish and the sauce were good, hence my second star, but the rice was raw. How come nobody in that kitchen tried the rice ? Raw rice for a Peruvian is an insult, being such an easy thing to prepare. Last, the alfajor with lucuma ice cream and some sort of aji sauce and and some blue, that I was told by the owner himself to be chocolate ?!?, Well I tried it and well the chef/owner just wanted to get creative after his brain was drop at the dishwasher.

Update: the first time we came here everything was excellent, after last nights slow service and average food I had to update my review. The place was super empty and still everything took forever and when finally our main dish arrived (risotto de aji Amarillo with lomo saltado) it wasn't that good . The risotto looked and tasted like it was made out of Cheetos. I don't think I will be giving it another chance.

Great food and service. Small venue, but does not take away from this amazing find! Definitely a gem tucked away in Hallandale Beach. Very knowledgable servers that give you thorough explanations about the Peruvian cuisines. We ordered one of their beef dishes and a mahi mahi. The food was supurb. If you are looking for more of an authentic Peruvian taste with great service, I recommend a visit to this restaurant.

World class chef in a not so great locale, once your inside who cares?? Order Passion Juice or Purple Corn Juice and snack on roasted corn nuts while they prepare sumptuous ceviche, lime and spice sensation. We had octopus with yellow rice, filet mignon with quinoa (fantastic), and scallops over risotto ( perfectly prepared). The dessert- lemon cake with white chocolate and home made ice cream with marmalade and a pastry like cookie served with espresso left us smiling.

The food was delish, on the corner of NE 1st ave & NE 3rd St. Had the jalea and my girlfriend had the pollo Saltado. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Ps. Get here on time the kitchen the day we went closed at 9:30 on a Friday!

  • Rose E.

Great flavors, beautiful decoration, and excellent waiter. We had a ceviche which was very filling and causa with octopus. You'll have to order something else with the causa because it wasn't a meal in itself. Also had a dessert. Alfajor with homemade ice cream.

I'm actually having lunch here, I had papa a la huancaina as starter, excellent! The Lomo Saltado was awesome! My boyfriend had pescado a lo macho, excellent too. Now waiting for the dessert. The place is very clean and neat. We will return for sure!

Don't miss this place. Great small Peruvian restaurant, excellent food. Out of the restaurants area, but not far, worth going. Service by the owners, from 12 to 8pm. The octopus the best I eat so far. But what was the Must, was the Savoir Faire of the glass of water after the wine and the expresso coffee with the crystal sugar spoon

Checked out the reviews on Yelp after passing by this place and decided to go for it, since the reviews indicated spectacular food. Called the restaurant as we couldn't find an online menu even though there is delivery indicated on Yelp-we were told the website is in the works and directed to their Facebook page, which has a photo of the menu. We ordered three items-crab wontons, risotto con pollo saltado and the much-hyped lomo saltado. They took our card number, said it was $68 and hung up. What? We called back and it seemed an honest mistake. In the itemization they told us about the $8 delivery fee...what?! Fine, we're hungry and willing to pay for amazing food. An hour later, our food arrives barely warm. The crab wontons were delicious, though lukewarm and soggy. The pollo is delicious with a fabulous sauce and very tender. The risotto is likewise delicious. However, the steak was mediocre and the rice and fries were bland. Turns out they use a third party delivery service so with tip it still cost $60 for barely-warm soggy food. Funnily enough, the delivery service gave us a menu for a different restaurant. Maybe we'll try there instead. So disappointed.

Hi, all! I finally went back to Ceviche Street-still great! They had a lamb chop special, prepared lollipop-style. I rarely eat lamb but thought I'd try it and wow, it was fabulous! I also had the "Ceviche Street" which is a mixed plate of ceviche; shrimp, octopus, fish, squid and mussels. The portions were generous; I took home half my ceviche, which I plan to have over greens tonight for dinner (yum!). All this deliciousness was served with a smile and amazing, artful presentation. I urge you to give it a try. It's a special little bright spot in Hallandale Beach. Enjoy!

We were a bit hesitant because of its location but my husband and I are gourmet cooks and give this restaurant two big thumbs up! The lamb chops were to die for and we had the best ceviche. Outstanding service, small cozy, great decor and loved the techno/ Andes funky music...loved it!

  • Dmar D.

Everything was deliciously amazing. From the ceviche to the wontons to the jalea. The only negative is that service was a bit slow but once the food came out the reason was clear... Everything was delicately hand crafted to order by the very talented chef. This was the best meal I've had in a while.

  • Steve B.

This place is excellent !!! You would never know by where it is, but I'm telling you this is a true gourmet restaurant. This chef could compete with the finest gourmet chefs in any big city like New York, LA, etc... Don't be surprised if you see this place become a big hit! Trust me - go!! You will be very happy. Everything we had was excellent. The chef's wife will help you. Very knowledgable. Enjoy !!!

The pulpo was delicious! Had the Ceviche Street and it was good, i prefer smaller portions of seafood in my Ceviche but besides that it was good. Customer service was good but not great.

Awesome awesome awesome. We had the rice with beef (kids loved it!), ceviche street (spice level 4), and tuna fortuna. Everything was delicious! We had montarito for dessert which was totally different from anything we ever had and so delicious.

Having enjoyed Peruvian cuisine before it was a huge hit...and having several Peruvian friends, I consider myself an expert. I just enjoyed probably the best real LOMO Saltado I've ever had and the Ceviche mixto was Perfectly spicy, tender pieces of fish, mussels, shrimp and calamari. Sergio was sure that everything came out alright. And it did. Extremely pleased a top notch ceviche joint is in Hallandale. A bit out of the way but that makes it the more intimate. Directions on maps were spot on. Just look for the corner entrance. Delightful! Will come again.

  • Marcy C.

My husband and I ate lunch here today. It's a small place with simple decor, but great food and service! We really loved the octopus appetizer and the 'ceviche street' mixed seafood ceviche recommended by one of the owners. She and her husband (the chef) were very friendly and personable. The pisco sour and passion fruit sour do not disappoint. We will definitely return when we are back in South Florida. Muy Rico!

  • Andres W.

    * place has bad location * its cozy inside *service is just ok, I went there with my friend and the waitress used the word "spectacular" to describe every dish we asked for. Meanwhile the risotto was heavy and the tacutacu was salty * is overprized * the worse part was the fact that the place was empty therefore they were trying to push us to get the most expensive items from the menu.( we ordered some items and they were like:why dont you try this instead)

Wow! This place is great, and I've had quite a lot of ceviche at other places. Their recommended plate, the Ceviche Street, was tasty and adventurous. Even the presentation was great. The seaweed garnishes were edible! Awesome food, perfect service, and fun atmosphere :)

I went looking for my old taco shack, and instead found Ceviche Street in its place. Sign in the window advertising lunch specials drew me in. I went in and asked to see the menu and did not see any lunch specials on it. I asked the server if there were any lunch specials and he simply said yes we have lunch. So that being said I looked at the ceviche selection. its range in price was from 12 to 18 dollars. I asked him to explain in the differences since there was no explanation under the names such as Trio, Street, or special. I'm not sure if he didn't understand English or he was just annoyed by me actually eating there, but the explanation was not clear. I asked for an iced tea and he stiated they did not have iced tea. A little strange to not have iced tea but okay I went with a diet soda. I decided to try the ceviche Street dish which was $14.95. When the dishes arriveved I was very surprised at the small amount of fish I was given for the price. It was a mixed ceviche that had small pieces of octopus, some white fish, a few shrimp and two mussels. The fish was absolutely fresh and well prepared. But again for 15 bucks I expected a little bit more fish. If I can compare this to ceviche 305 in downtown Miami it is about half of the portion for a higher price. When the bill arrived I was charged $15.95 instead of $14.95 for my ceviche. The aloof waiter stated it was the wrong price and he would change it as if he knew it all along. I got the sense that he charged me the extra dollar hoping I wasn't noticing. I also did not like the fact that they tacked on a 15 percent gratuity on a party of one, then give you a receipt that doesn't specify it and asking for an additional gratuity. Hopefully, the owner will read this and straighten out his servers, as well as his pricing. The place is not much to look at and is a hole in the wall. He cannot justify charging these prices for such small portions. The neighborhood is extremely sketchy as well do not bring the wife and kids here after dark. I only gave two stars because I had such a poor experience there outside of the actual food that I will not return to this restaurant under any circumstances.

I've lived in Atlanta, San Francisco, and currently in Los Angeles. I helped my gf make a temporary move to Miami and we made a side trip to Ceviche St. to try some Peruvian food. Not only was this the best Peruvian food I've ever had, it's one of the best food experiences of my life. Everything on the menu is explained in great detail, and wonderful pairings are suggested. I wish I could take this restaurant back with me to L.A.

Being Peruvian myself and having recently moved to the hollywood beach area, I've been looking for a good quality Peruvian restaurant near me.. This place is amazing! The "ceviche oriental" is the owner/chefs creation and is some the best ceviche I've ever had. We also had the "aji de gallina" which was really good.. I can't wait to try the whole menu! There's even lunch specials and happy hour till 8. I gave them 5 stars because everything is made fresh and the owner has his own spin on many classic dishes. You won't be disappointed with this new spot!

This review is written by my 10-year old kid (with edits for grammar by me): The restaurant Ceviche Street was so good! It is a Peruvian place. It is a hole in the wall, but the food was the best I ever tasted! It had the very best ceviche, which is raw fish and squid in lemon juice. Their white fish was the best. Their coconut shrimp was awesome. It was sweet and sour. The shrimps were soft, but crunchy. Their ceviche was good at first, but all the lemon juice got soaked in and it became very sour. Before it got soaked in, it was sweet. They had inca cola. It was the first time I ever tasted inca cola. It was yellow and also it was sweet and sour! Kids you should go there!

Walked in this quaint establishment today with my girlfriend. The waitress and chef were sitting at a table talking business and no one else was there. We were immediately greeted and shown to our table where the waitress introduced us to the menu and thoroughly explained to us the drink options. We ordered our drinks from her, I forgot the name of what we got but one tasted almost like a passion fruit margarita, the other was a sweet purple corn drink. Both were delicious. Then when it came time to order our food the chef came up to is and asked us what we wanted. He took great care in personalizing our entrees just the way we would like them. We started off with the delicious ceviche, I've never had more tender octopus and calamari, the fish was delicate and perfect and it had just the right amount of spice. For my main course I got a seared ahi arugula salad like nothing I've ever had, it was amazing. My girlfriend got steak over risotto (I don't remember the name of it) but it too was DELICIOUS! We then got dessert, but again I was too distracted by the display and flavor to remember the name of it. This was the best meal I've had in my 6 months here in the Miami area. This place is located in an odd spot for is quality and I could see it doing very well in an upscale area. I will not hesitate to come back here. Highly suggested.

Awesome. We had the ceviche trio and the three presentations were different and scrumptious. Ownership was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Entrees and desserts were equally good.

I had the fish ceviche and my sister had the crab wontons. The ceviche is delicious and my sister went crazy because her crab wontons were delicious. I tried the potatoes with the cheese and OMG, absolutely delicious! I have had those potatoes in other Peruvian restaurants but these were the best.

Went there twice. Very attentive waitress and chef and delicious ceviche! Everything tasted fresh! My favorite ceviche was the oriental ceviche and it had the right amount of kick to it. The Ceviche street is also very tasty and a good recommendation for someone who hasn't had ceviche. The chef even proceeded to play the piano for us while we were there! Great service and will definitely return again!

We went there for lunch. The place doesn't say much but the menu has several options from the classic Peruvian menu you can find in South Florida. We had the ceviche mixto which was OK, well presented. Service was OK (in automatic mode) and prices were the same than other similar places with better location and decor. May come back, but there are other good Peruvian in the area that may attract my attention.
